Floriani thread

I am excited to be carrying a new line of embroidery thead. This is a polyester thread instead of rayon. The poly thread has the same sheen as the rayon and is more durable. We have 330 different colors. We were also able to get 10 packs of 100 spools at a discount and pass on to the consumer. This is $600 of thread for only $279. But we haven’t gotten them in yet and will have an email sent out when we do. Right now the tread is at portland and beaverton only.

As I look around today I see a lot of yellow and green, next year we will see a little more orange and black.

New years resolution

Every year I sit down and make many New Year resolutions. This year is no different. My first resolution is to blog every week. I know I have done a crumby job of it but I do have a lot to say and a lot of info to get out that pertains to sewing and the industry. I usually am pretty good at keeping resolutions. I would say my chances are 50/50. I am going to try to take time on Monday afternoons to write my blogs so look forward to them.

What a crazy day of sunshine, rain, talking, eating, laughing, teaching, more sunshine, more rain. It was so enjoyable and unexpected. Thank you to those that came and joined us in the fun. Lisa silveira showed us the knitting machine, as well as a demo on how to use it. Sharon Blair described how you can learn to sew your own outfit so that others willwant to know wher you bought it. Rita lufman was showing us her cutwork needle projects, endless hoop free standin insertion lace ( complicated name but not hard to learn.), and embroidered book marks that are made in the hoop. Pj had a swarm of ladies at her table because she was demonstrating how to quilt in the hoop. Chris Potter was running around with her pencil and a clip board while helping students sign up for Pfaff club and classes.
All in all, a great day. Be sure to join us next week at our Beaverton store.
Kristy
