Open house

What a crazy day of sunshine, rain, talking, eating, laughing, teaching, more sunshine, more rain. It was so enjoyable and unexpected. Thank you to those that came and joined us in the fun. Lisa silveira showed us the knitting machine, as well as a demo on how to use it. Sharon Blair described how you can learn to sew your own outfit so that others willwant to know wher you bought it. Rita lufman was showing us her cutwork needle projects, endless hoop free standin insertion lace ( complicated name but not hard to learn.), and embroidered book marks that are made in the hoop. Pj had a swarm of ladies at her table because she was demonstrating how to quilt in the hoop. Chris Potter was running around with her pencil and a clip board while helping students sign up for Pfaff club and classes.
All in all, a great day. Be sure to join us next week at our Beaverton store.

Christmas Village embroidery!

Well, it took a few weeks but Kathi just finished embroidering Anita Goodesign’s Christmas Village collection and it looks great! It’s a wonderful image of a traditional English village during Christmas time, broken up into 8 different tile sections. After embroidering all of the sections, she then quilted them together so that it looks as if you are viewing the scene through your living room window. It really must be seen to be believed. Next time you drop by the Beaverton store, make sure to take a peek!

In Oregon, there is no such thing as bad weather for hiking, just bad gear. I got caught with just a sweatshirt and jeans.

Annual hiking trip

Filed under: Brett — admin @ 10:03 pm

Got to take the annual day before school starts hiking trip. It almost got rained on as it was raining this morning. I had to decide a long time ago that the weather has to get really bad before it gets rained out. Living in Oregon we just have to accept what we get and make the best of it.
