Custom Quilting Your Quilt
After the seams have been pieced, the appliqué stitched, and the borders applied, there remains one big step to finishing your quilt - quilting it! Many quilters will opt to hire the quilting to be done by a long-arm quilter, but some among you may want to do this yourself. After all, the quilting is a big part of the artistry that goes into a quilt and quilting it yourself makes it truly your own.
It’s been said: “Quilting makes the Quilt”. Many quilters do not fully understand how true that is; the amount of visual impact the texture resulting from quilting creates. The thoughtful choice of quilting designs can make the difference between an ordinary quilt and one that is stunning. This consultation style workshop will help you realize the stitching design potential in your quilt. I will help you determine what kind of a quilting design will turn your top into a masterpiece, taking into consideration your skills and technique preferences along with suggestions on the best way to transfer the design onto the quilt for stitching.
Come join me for a class that will open your eyes to amazing possibilities that I hope will transform the words "Oh boy - now I have to quilt it", into "Oh Boy! Now I get to quilt it".
