Embroidery ABCs: Free-Standing Lace
Are you intimidated and overwhelmed about what stabilizer to use to make successful projects? Do you want to feel confident that your embroidery will work on your material? This class is for you!! You will learn while making fun projects. Janet has been doing embroidery work for over 20 years and will bring lots of samples to get you motivated.
Free standing lace: There are so many fun projects with this technique. You will learn which stabilizer and appliqué methods to use and all the secrets to do this right so your project will come out perfectly. There are so many free standing lace projects that are so fun. Not only can you make doilies & attach lace to tablecloths, but you can make FSL pumpkins, leaves, butterflies, candy houses, etc. You will learn how to read the directions and how to do appliqué. Lots of samples to get you motivated!! Bring your sewing machine, embroidery unit and a 5x7 hoop. Stabilizer will be provided.

Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
