Machine Quilting From the Heart
Led by Helene Knott
This class is suitable for a beginner with no machine quilting experience, though more advanced quilters may find useful information and techniques as well. In class, we will cover machine quilting basics – thread and needles, basic machine maintenance, tension and other potential problems/solutions as well as a variety of techniques to stitch a variety of heart themed motifs. The quilting techniques students will learn include – stitching in the ditch, some free motion exercises, and a variety of methods to create and stitch motifs and enhance them with improvisational and textured stitching. This is a great introduction to free motion quilting with simple, easy to render designs.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
