Precise Hand Lettering on Fabric
There are many reasons you might want to apply lettering on fabrics; to make a label for a quilt, create a monogram on a garment, add a story, quote, or poem on an art quilt… Why hand letter instead of using a sewing machine? Creative Zentangle style lettering is becoming very popular for making cards and artwork and these unique lettering styles are not always available on machine programs. Plus, if, you have a machine capable of scanning and stitching, you can create your own, unique lettering for a project.
Hand lettering on fabric can be challenging, especially getting the words and letters neat and straight, or if you want to incorporate line art into your project. In this class, you will learn an easy method to achieve precise lettering and/or line art. In class, you can create a label for a quilt, bring fabric you intend to incorporate into another project, or make a charming fabric bookmark for yourself or as a sweet gift for a book-loving friend.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
