Quilted Jacket
Led by Jean Stewart
Do you have a quilt at home that needs a new look? Or maybe you have a quilt idea in your head that would make an awesome jacket.
This class will teach you how to take a quilt and make it into an amazing jacket for you or someone you love. This is a great way to reuse an old quilt, one you found at a garage sale/Good Will, or one you want to create just for this purpose.
The pattern we chose gives you lots of different options in length, collar type, hood and of course size.
This class requires some sewing skills. You need to be familiar with your sewing machine, be able to sew a straight seam and have a basic understanding of garment construction. I will show you how to choose the appropriate size for your jacket, how to lay and cut the pieces on the quilt and how to construct the garment along with binding all the seams.
This is going to be a fun and creative class that will teach you how to sew an original and beautiful jacket that you can be proud to wear or give as a gift.
