Sewing with Sergers Level 1 – The Very Beginning
Led by Helen Bartley
Get to know and use your serger-any make and model! This class is perfect if you have a new or “new to you” serger. It’s also a great way to decide which serger you want to buy if you don’t have one. Using a combination of slides, video-clips and demos Helen will help you demystify the many moving parts and how they work together. You will learn about easy threading, basic tension, 2, 3, and 4-thread stitches, simple flat-lock and the versatile rolled hem. You will be provided with fabric for samples and a notebook with instructions. If you need to borrow a serger, please let us know when you register. Class fee includes a notebook and fabric samples.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
