Soak Up the Sun

In this class we will be using the Quick Curve Mini Ruler and Mini Wonderful Curve book, both from Sew Kind of Wonderful, to create this beautiful sunflower quilt that will brighten any room!
Day 1: By bringing in precut fabrics, we can get right to business! You will bring in 2 precut scrap fabrics, just a couple of each: 5” square, 4 ½ x 7 ½, 5 ½ square. These will be for practice to shake off those nerves. Once you get the hang of it, we will graduate to the project fabric. These pieces will also be precut according to the General Cutting Instructions on page 45. DO NOT GO TO NEXT STEP. We will learn technique and discuss fabric placement and answer any questions you may have. By the end of class, you will feel confident to do your homework; finishing curved pieces and organizing rows.
Day 2: It will be so exciting to see your quilt coming together! We will go over any questions there might be, and then begin sewing rows and proceed to borders.
This class is for a strong beginner and you must have knowledge of your sewing machine. Need to borrow a machine? Just check in with the front desk prior to class!

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
