The Quilted Word
Densely quilted textures surround outlined words and make them pop into graphic relief to create Quilted Words. This design approach is a marvelous way to enhance negative space on any quilt, or to become the focal point on an artistic textile work in itself. For this class, you will choose a quote, a short poem, a monogram or just a few inspirational words. These words will be rendered in stitching onto a panel that you create in any size you wish. You may embellish the panel with suitable motifs fussy-cut from various novelty prints if you wish. If you have a machine capable of fancy embroidery, you might opt to select some lovely motifs from that source to grace your quote or poem. Skill level: confident beginner - it is recommended that you have a basic familiarity with free-motion quilting for the best results in this class.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Class, club, and event fees are nonrefundable. You must cancel 72 hours before the first session of the class, club, or event to receive store credit or apply the fee to another class, club or event. However, if the instructor or Montavilla Sewing Centers has to cancel a class, club, or event, you have the option for a store credit or full refund. Students must bring their own machines to all classes, unless otherwise noted. We request that you do not bring children or guests to the classes. Thank you!
